Brands That Book Podcast Interview | Moving Beyond a Client Profile

Jess, XO - Brands That Book Podcast Interview: Moving Beyond the Client Profile

Okay, honesty-time. I TOTALLY FANGIRLED ON THIS PODCAST INTERVIEW.

I may sound calm, cool, collected (if that’s even possible for me), but behind the scenes, I was a sweaty mess. I’ve followed Davey and Krista for years, and the Brands That Book Podcast delivers KILLER value. I was feelin’ the pressure. Not to mention, my skype feed froze for Davey halfway through the interview--and Lord only knows what that freeze frame looked like.

Awkward.

But, behind-the-scenes-honesty aside, Davey is a great interviewer, so this podcast episode is jam-packed with value, as usual. I love the way that the Brands That Book Podcast, and Davey and Krista’s approach to business in general, really helps you to get back to the basics. Every episode will leave you with actionable takeaways that don’t make you feel like you’re more behind than when you started listening.

We got to chat about the ideal client profile (*rolls eyes*) and why it just DOESN’T HELP YOU get anywhere, as is.

(But, honestly, just go subscribe to this one. You won’t be sorry.)

In this episode, you’ll hear:

  • My origin story as a copywriter by way of high school English teacher! (Davey is a fellow high school teacher, so we nerded out on this!)

  • How I was booked out by the end of my first week in business (spoiler: just ask!)

  • How to bring your ideal client profile (ya know you’ve got one) into REAL LIFE, so it can start working for you.

  • How many touchpoints it takes to create a viable sales lead

  • How to actually write copy designed to convert visitors into clients

  • Some practical questions to help you write copy + craft a message that actually reaches your dream audience

… there are lots of little tangents + juicy takeaways, so go give it a listen! And dust off that ideal client profile + put it to work for ya when you’re done listening!

I’m so grateful to Davey for having me on the podcast, and grateful to both Davey and Krista for being such awesome examples of how to run a business + cultivate a life you love at the same time.

If you give it a listen, tag me on Insta, so I can nerd out with you! OR comment with your fave takeaway below! Can’t wait to hear what you’re applying to your biz.
